Privacy Policy

Hush Sort (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a puzzle game developed by Kortpick, an independent developer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Questions? Email developer@kortpick.com.

In short: you can play without an account. If you create a profile, we store your player name, avatar and game results so leaderboards and races work. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which asks for your consent where the law requires it. We don’t sell your personal information, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.

1. Information we collect

When you create a profile (optional)

Player name and avatar you choose. Names are shown publicly on leaderboards and to opponents.
A random player ID and access token. The token is stored on your device so the app can sign you in; it is not linked to your real identity.

Game activity

Levels completed, moves and solve times, XP, rank, daily-challenge results and streaks, race results and win streaks, and whether you have Hush Sort Pro.
Reports you submit about other players and the list of players you block.

Technical information

IP address — used briefly in memory to prevent abuse (for example, limiting how many profiles can be created). We do not store it with your profile. Our hosting provider may keep it in short-lived server logs for security.
Information collected by advertising and purchase providers — see sections 3 and 4.

Information that stays on your device

Your level progress, coins, themes, settings, best times and Nearby race stats are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or using “Reset progress” removes them.

Nearby races and quick chat

In a Nearby race, your player name and avatar are exchanged directly with the other phone over your local network; this data is not sent to us. Race messages are chosen from a fixed list of friendly phrases — you cannot type free text — and they are passed to your opponent without being stored.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or microphone audio, and we do not use third-party analytics.

2. How we use information

To run the game: save your profile, calculate XP, show leaderboards, run daily challenges and races.
To keep play fair and safe: detect cheating, filter offensive names, review reports and enforce blocks.
To provide purchases and Hush Sort Pro, and to show ads in the free version.
To answer your support and privacy requests.

Our legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies) are: performing our agreement with you (providing the game), our legitimate interests (security, fair play, improving the game), and your consent (personalized advertising and tracking).

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.

Consent: if you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland or a US state with privacy laws, Google’s consent form asks for your choices before personalized ads are shown. You can change them any time in Settings → Privacy choices (ads).
iPhone: Apple asks whether the app may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads are not personalized using your IDFA. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings.
Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience. Hush Sort Pro removes ads.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your card or payment details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history and your random player ID so we can unlock Hush Sort Pro (RevenueCat privacy policy).

We do not sell your personal information. Under some US state laws, using advertising identifiers for personalized ads may count as “sharing”; you can opt out through Settings → Privacy choices (ads).

6. International transfers

Our servers are in the European Union. Our providers (such as Google and RevenueCat) may process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep information

Profile and game results: until you delete your account.
Daily-challenge results: about 14 days.
Reports: until they are reviewed, and always deleted with the reporting account.
Backups: up to 30 days, after which deleted data is gone from backups too.

8. Your rights and choices

Delete your account in the app: Profile or Settings → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. See how to delete your account.
Change your name or avatar any time in Profile → Edit profile.
Access, correction, objection or portability: email developer@kortpick.com. Include your player name so we can find your data. We respond within 30 days.
Ad choices: Settings → Privacy choices (ads), and your device’s tracking / Advertising ID settings.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

9. Children

Hush Sort is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has created a profile, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), random access tokens instead of passwords, and we keep as little personal information as possible. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
